Question, what are the advantages of a synthetic mag ?

I'm thinking they're ideal in very cold weather.

Lighter than steel, don't rust, etc. The Radom ones from Poland have noticeably less side-to-side wobble when inserted into an AK's mag well, which is another plus. These are good ones, I ordered a bunch.

I have some Beryl mags in 5.56x45 made at the same circle 11 Radom plant. The clears can develop small hairline cracks around the steel reinforcements. They won't effect the function though.

Also have a bunch in 5.45x39 that work great. This is the factory that makes small arms for their military.

I agree the bullet mags blow. Were those actual circle 10 mags or just "made in bulgaria"?

What happened with the bullet mags? Did the black/OD/plum 30-round waffles suffer from similar problems?

Apparently the commercially-made "bullet" mags are plastic only, not metal reinforced and prone to crack with use.

Those Polish mags are mil spec...you don't see them very often.

Bulgie ((10)) waffles are mil spec, metal reinforced and you shouldn't have any probs. I use them myself.
